Nostalgia Watch

Great things that have gone away that I wish would come back:

Today's Entry:

Andrew Marlatt & Satire Wire

Satire Wire was easily the best news satire site on the web - bar none, The author, Andrew Marlatt was an absolute genius. For those who follow net meme's, he's the one who originated 'Microsoft Buys Evil from Satan'.

Sadly, in 2002 - shortly after publishing a witty, incisive and absolutely hilarious book called 'Economy of Errors' that is still the gold standard in my opinion.- he hung up his text editor and moved on. Andrew, we miss ye! The web is a poorer place without you!

Last I read about him, he was writing for the Beeb, and as much as I like the Beeb, I WANT MY SATIRE WIRE BACK!!

Anyway, that's it for todays nostalgia watch. If you have never seen the site, go check it out. Even dated, the articles still resonate.
